Dental sleep medicine is a part of dental practices that emphasis on the use of oral appliance therapy to treat sleep-disordered breathing, including snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Dentists work together with sleep physicians to recognize the best treatment for each patient.

Some of the common problems that patients experience when dealing with sleep apnea is snoring, difficulty breathing and disruptive sleeping patterns. With the help of dissimilar oral appliances, these symptoms can be remedied and long-term, even treated.
